Teamwork does it!

Last week we had our Agape UK “Round Table” meeting, and as usual we began with a round up of how each of us had been doing since we last met 3 months ago.  Among other things, I mentioned my financial challenges.  The great thing is that a number of supporters have put in significant one-off gifts so that my income should trump my expenses through to the summer now.  The challenge is that I am still a day a week short on my regular income.  Mark Daniel, who heads up our FamilyLife ministry, did a quick calculation.  “You must know a lot of people”, he said.  “What you need in these economically difficult times is another 40 people to support you at just £20 a month.  Here, I’ll be the first”.  And right there in the middle of the meeting he emailed our accounts dept to set up a monthly transfer.  So now I only need 39.  Maybe you’d like to join Mark in this venture?  If so, you too can do it here and now, with my grateful thanks.  My blog will keep you up to date, and I will also email you to establish what’s the best way for us to communicate.  Let’s see what happens!
